(December 10, 2022) - San Francisco beat Miami last week for a fifth straight win. They now own an 8-4 record Straight Up and 7-5 Against The Spread.
We have a line range between 3 and 4 (not hitting above the 4, however) and get a number of San Francisco 5.99 as the 49ers take on Tampa Bay. The actual line is San Francisco -3.5. We have seen books move to 3 and 4, but only briefly.
This one features an Underlay of 2.5. Games in this range with an Underlay have gone 3-5 favoring the dog, just not enough to get us excited.
Some caution here as 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey rolled up 146 scrimmage yards (80 receiving, 66 rushing) last week against Miami but suffered a knee irritation in the process. He's not the only one who had limited practice this week. Deebo Samuel (quad), defensive lineman Arik Armstead (foot) and offensive lineman Spencer Burford (ankle) joined McCaffrey among the walking wounded.
Then there is Jimmy Garoppolo (broken foot). He will be replaced by "Mr. Irrelevant" Brock Purdy.
