  • Vice President JD Vance's odds are longer at 38%

U.S. President Donald Trump’s expected attendance at Saturday’s annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner in Washington for his first time as president will put his administration’s often-contentious relationship with the press on full public display.

The Republican president did not attend during his first term or the first year of his second. He came as a guest in 2011, sitting in the audience as President Barack Obama, a Democrat, made some jokes about the New York real estate developer. Trump also attended as a private citizen in 2015.

The prediction market Kalshi is offering trading on who will attend this year's event

Traders are split on Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough attending, at 48%, though he remains the favorite among those listed on Kalshi..  Scarborough and his co-host and wife, Mika Brzezinski, have had a contentious relationship with Trump in recent years.  Following his win in November 2024, Scarborough confirmed he and Trump had a cordial in-person meeting.  He has also admitted on his MS Now show to speaking occasionally with the president over the phone.

Vice President JD Vance was listed with a 39% chance of attending while Fox News' Sean Hannity has a 27% chance of attending.

Attendance is confirmed if the person is reported present at the event by any Source Agency, including social media posts by the person themselves. Brief appearances or partial attendance count as attendance.
