Dave Mason of BetOnline noted that action was "coming in before my eyes on Steelers' George Pickens to win Offensive ROY" Saturday evening.
"Our biggest liability by by 3x. Opened 40-1. Currently 12-1".
Sports Illustrated advised back in April:
"Pickens (6'3/200) is one of the more polarizing players of this year's draft given his early career breakout only to see his 2021 season completely torpedoed by a torn ACL. During his time at Georgia, Pickens totaled 90 receptions for 1,347 yards and 14 touchdowns, which included a freshman line of 49-727-8. He has elite size, and showed good speed at the Combine with a 4.47 40-yard dash. The Lions are in need of better wide receiver play, despite the strong rookie season from Amon-Ra St. Brown. Pickens could eventually emerge as the team's alpha."
