Tiger Woods odds to win the Open Championship 2012 were at 7/1, paying US$70 for every US$10 bet should he win.  These odds were available at BetOnline here, which was giving qualified customers up to US$900 in FREE CASH.

“The odds on Woods are incredible considering you could never get him for longer than 3/1 odds just a few years ago,” noted Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.  “As of late he’s been showing some signs of past greatness.”

The wet grounds at Royal Lytham & St Annes have Woods thinking the course is practically “unplayable”.

"Oh my God," was the instant Woods reaction when asked about the rough. "In some places it is almost unplayable."

Perhaps the reason for the 7/1 odds?

But Woods knows the course well and thinks he has the answer to succeeding.

"If it's calm, we can shoot some good scores," he continued. "If it's wet, lush, you've got to be more aggressive. Have to see how it's playing. Some years it's fast and some it's not. The two years I played it was quick. The ball was travelling quite a bit. They've made a few changes in tee boxes, lengthened a few holes but most of the bunker adjustments were made the last time."
