Odds to win The Open Championship 2012 Top European player had Lee Westwood potentially paying US$55 for every US$10 bet and Luke Donald paying $60.  Both are from England.  All odds courtesy of WagerWeb.com, which was offering qualified customers up to a FREE US$1000

Rory McIlroy was coming in with 6/1 odds.  He was the co-favorite with Padraig Harrington to be the top Irish finisher, offering a payout potential slightly better than EVEN

McIlroy claims to be relishing the low British Open profile.

“It's been lovely just going about my business," McIlroy said. "It's been nice to sort of prepare and there's definitely not the madness that was going on last year."

Justin Rose and Francesco Molinari both had value at 10/1 odds.

Molinari held off a barrage of challengers at the Scottish Open by shooting a bogey-free 5-under 67 to take a one-stroke lead into Sunday's final round.

The Italian, who held the overnight lead with Alexander Noren, remained consistent in changing weather around the Castle Stuart links on Saturday to stay in front at 17 under.

Graeme McDowell  and Sergio Garcia were listed at 12/1 odds each.  Martin Kaymer and Ian Poulter were at 15/1 odds each. 

Paul Lawrie, Ross Fisher, Fredrik Jacobson and Nicolas Colsaerts were each listed at 25/1 odds.

Peter Hanson, Simon Dyson and Thomas Bjorn had odds of 30/1.

Martin Laird was at 35/1 while Anders Hansen and Alexander Noren were each listed at 45/1 odds.
