Favorites to win this event included Jason Day, Dustin Johnson and Phil Mickelson, each at 12/1 odds (+1200).

For his part, Day is relishing his runner-up status in last Sunday’s Torrey Pines event.

The world number four is a four-time winner of the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.. After being forced out of the Farmers Insurance Open, he went on to finish 42^nd in Phoenix last week.
