John Deere Classic betting odds were available online.  You can bet on a player to win the overall tournament and you can also bet the head-to-head matchups.

This year’s tournament takes place from July 9th through the 12th. It is played at the TPC at Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois which is one of the Quad Cities. The favorite to win the 2015 event is expected to be Jordan Spieth who is the #2 ranked player in the world. Spieth won this event in 2013 and he has said he expects to play this year even with the Open Championship the following week.

Tourney Notes

This event became an official PGA Tour event in 1972. It has been sponsored by John Deere since 1999. Because it is played on a course nothing like the British Open the following week it doesn’t get much action from top players. Steve Stricker and D.A. Weibring have won the event three times. The event is held at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois which is a Par 71 that measures 7,257 yards.

The course features a lot of fairways that can be difficult at times because of the many trees and the change in elevation. "Our goal was to build an old-style, traditional golf course and I think we've captured that," says D.A. Weibring, course designer, "We wanted to create a course that had memorable holes with dramatic views of the rolling hills and vistas."

Golf Betting

When you want to bet on golf you have a couple of main choices at Diamond sportsbook each week. Odds on golfers to win can range from 5-1 to 100-1 or more while the head-to-head matchups are money line wagers with a favorite and an underdog.

It is definitely easier to win a matchup since you just need your golfer to beat the other golfer but there is no doubt that picking a winner at odds of something like 20-1 or more is very exciting.
