The 2012 British Open payout odds are substantial, including those being offered on the favorite Tiger Woods.  WagerWeb.com had odds starting at just shy of 8/1 and up.  Remember, you can place bets on updated odds the hours leading up to each day’s play, keeping in mind that the time difference is 6 hours ahead of Eastern Time.

Payouts were as follows:

Tiger Woods would pay $75 for every $10 bet.  Earlier he was being offered at closer to 6/1 odds.

Lee Westwood would pay out $120 for every $10 bet.  Keep in mind you can also bet on Westwood to win as Top England Golfer.

Luke Donald would pay out $150 for every $10 bet, which is $30 more than earlier.

Padraig Harrington, winner of two consecutive British Opens, would pay $160.

Rory McIlroy would pay $170.

Phil Mickelson pays $270 for every $10 bet.

Martin Kaymer, Sergio Garcia, Justin Rose, Ernie Els, Francesco Molinari, Graeme McDowell and Dustin Johnson each would pay out $300 for every $10 bet.

Adam Scott pays $330 while Louis Oosthuizen would pay out $350.

Everyone else named pays $400 and up.
