The annual ESPYS show is set for Wednesday, July 12, and fans have been voting over the past week to help decide which athletes will take home honors for 22 categories.
SportsBetting.ag has created odds for the 10 most notable categories, and the projections range from heavy favorites to tossups to wide-open races.
Patrick Mahomes earned two nominations this year, one for “Best NFL Player” and another for the best athlete in men’s sports category.
Following his MVP and Super Bowl season, Mahomes is a hefty, -300 favorite to take home honors in the NFL category. The next-closest odds below to Jalen Hurts at +550.
Mahomes isn’t the odds-on favorite for “Best Athlete: Men's Sports,” but his odds are more than half of Aaron Judge’s, who has the second-best odds at +250.
