Steelers vs. Redskins Odds All Over The Map

If you were planning on betting the Steelers vs. Redskins Monday Night Football game, you might have a slight advantage.

Making up for the fact that there is not a whole lot of head-to-head historic stats available between these two teams - they've only played each other three times in the last 10 years - there is a "middling opportunity" available.

Wiseguy shops such as PinnacleSports.com had the Washington Redskins listed as -1 favorites.  Bookmaker.com, which also happens to be a wiseguy shop catering to both professional and recreational players, had the Steelers at +3.  The idea of course is to bet both sides at two different books.  If the Redskins happen to win by 2 points, both your bets win.  PinnacleSports.com does not accept US customers however.

The last meeting between these two teams (a pre-season game) was actually won by 2 points.  Pittsburgh had the victory however.

It should be pointed out that approximately 75 percent of all online sportsbooks had this game at Washington -2  ½.  This is definitely a game that incorporates value shopping.

And despite the last minute drop to -1 at some of these wiseguy shops, the line on this game really has remained within a half point of where it opened at most sportsbooks.  The line opened at Washington -3.
