Scottie Scheffler

Scottie Scheffler was seeing more than $1 million traded at various prediction markets Wednesday ahead of this week's Masters.

BetOnline had Scheffler as the early favorite with a payout potential of $500 to $800 on every $100 bet depending on the sportsbook or prediction market.

Despite traders giving Scheffler a 14% chance of winning, heavier trading volume was reported on Xander Schauffele ($8.6 million) and Matt Fitzpatrick ($4.8 million).

Scheffler, a two-times Masters winner, was the obvious favorite but with tremendous value for gamblers who can get him at the 5-1 odds.

Prediction platforms like Polymarket promised a payout of $714 for every $100 staked

Golf's World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler came up short of winning his third Green Jacket at The Masters last April.

Scheffler appeared in Augusta with the rest of his family, including a 9-day old newborn, his second son.

"There's nobody been more dominant in the game in terms of underlying statistics over the last few years, including winning five times a year, than Scottie Scheffler," said Paul McGinley, Europe's hero at the 2002 Ryder Cup, while on Sky Sports. "As great as Rory McIlroy is, the sheer consistency and relentlessness of Scottie Scheffler makes him the No. 1 player comfortably in the world."

BetOnline released a host of prop bets for this week's Masters as well.
