Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Philadelphia Eagles is one game we have highlighted on our calendars to be sure. Both are among the favorites to advance into the Playoffs. Odds on this game opened at Philadelphia -3 and has only occasionally moved a half point to -3 ½.

80 percent of the spread action was on the Eagles heading into this weekend, although a significant amount of action was on the +165 Pittsburgh Steelers money line.

There is little past history to determine how these teams will play against one another since most of this series has taken place in the pre-season.

Gambling911.com has determined that these teams are essentially even when playing on a neutral field. In fact, Pittsburgh was ranked number 5 this week by Gambling911.com while the Eagles were ranked number 6.

The line on this game is right on the money at -3 ½ so trying to predict an outcome is close to impossible for us.

Two-time Pro Bowl guard Shawn Andrews is doubtful for the Eagles' game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday because of back spasms.

"He hasn't recovered as fast as we'd hoped," coach Andy Reid said Friday. "We'll see how he is in the next couple of days."

Max Jean-Gilles, who filled in when Andrews missed time in training camp to deal with depression, would start in his place. The third-year pro has one career start.

"Max gets plenty of reps in there in case something were to come up with either guard," Reid said. "We feel comfortable he'll step in and do a good job for us."

Wide receiver Reggie Brown is expected to play after missing the first two games with a hamstring injury. Brown may not start, but will rotate with other wideouts.

"Reggie looks like he's feeling pretty good," Reid said. "We'll give him an opportunity to play."

The Pittsburgh Steelers are 1 and 4 against the spread in their last 5 games on the road.
