This NHL betting preview of the Calgary Flames vs. Vancouver Canucks game is brought to you by SBG Global

SBG Global Opening Line: Canucks  - 130 , Total 5.5 Flat

Northwest Division rivals get together for the first half of a home and home as Vancouver hosts Calgary on Thursday.  The teams play the return game in Calgary on Saturday.  The Canucks lead the division with 30 points while the Flames sit five points back.  Calgary could make up ground since Vancouver starts a 7-game road trip following tonight's game. SBG Global reports that early hockey betting has the public taking Canucks at Home.

Vancouver may have trouble staying at the top of the standings considering they will be without goaltender Roberto Luongo for the next few weeks.  Backup Curtis Sanford played well in Vancouver's win over Detroit but the team is preparing backup Cory Schneider for action as well. "Obviously last night Curtis played well again, so I'm sure they don't see a reason to take him out just yet," said Schneider. "I'm just happy to be here to help the team win, because they're going good, so don't mess with what's going well."

Head coach Alan Vigneault has said he will decide on a daily basis who will start in goal. "Cory did really well this year in training camp," said Vigneault. "He went to Manitoba and he's been the best goaltender in the American League. He's on, I think, a 10 game winning streak. His stats are the best there, so if we need Cory we're sure he's going to be very efficient and depending on how things work out he might get a chance."
