The Minnesota Vikings vs. Jacksonville Jaguars betting odds opened at Jacksonville -1 and has since moved to -2 ½ at some online sportsbooks including BetUS.com, which would be the ideal book in which to wager on Minnesota.  Some of the professional shops have Jacksonville at -1.

Last week, Minnesota managed just one touchdown in a 19-13 loss on the road against a stout Buccaneers defense. ... The Jaguars jumped out to an 11-point halftime lead, but surrendered 21 unanswered points in a 24-14 home loss to the Titans.

Last week's loss to the Buccaneers dropped Minnesota to 1-4 on the road.  They have 4 of their last 5 games on the road too so this should be a concern.

With their sixth loss last week, the Jacksonville Jaguars were knocked out of the AFC South race and all but eliminated from playoff contention.

They'd have a far rosier outlook in the NFC North, where the Minnesota Vikings maintain a share of the lead despite a .500 record.

"It's absolutely as dismal an outlook as you can have and not be out," he said after his team blew an 11-point halftime lead by getting outscored 21-0 in the second half. "We'd have to win every one to have a chance to qualify. It's a very remote possibility."

On Monday, however, Del Rio vowed his team wouldn't give up on the season.

"Our guys are professional," he said. "The coaches and players are going to continue to do our jobs to the best of our ability and be professional about it. We all recognize this is a very competitive game and we want to be at our very best at all times, finish strong and play good football and have fun doing it. We're going to focus on execution and let it rip."

While the Vikings have had a poor road showing, the Jaguars are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 home games.

This is one of the more difficult games to bet on this weekend due to the lack of historic data and recent trends that do not favor one team over the other.
