The Houston Texans vs. Indianapolis Colts betting odds opened at Colts -8 and the line has mostly stayed in that proximity with a few 8 ½'s and even some -9's.

Indianapolis has gone 9-1 in this series since 2003.  Houston's lone win was at home by a mere 3 points.  The Colts have beaten Houston by more than the current spread 6 of the last 10 games.

Despite a 24-20 road win over Pittsburgh, which gave the Colts a two-game winning streak heading into this week's home game against AFC South rival Houston, coach Tony Dungy admits that there is still a lot of work to be done.

"I thought that it was a big win for us in a lot of ways," Dungy said. "We went on the road, again, and beat a good team on the road. And that's always gratifying to win like we did, coming from 10 (points) down. That's not easy to do, especially (at Pittsburgh). That's certainly a team you don't want to fall behind and have to get one-dimensional on, having to throw to win.

"We did some things well. Number one, taking care of the football and not turning it over. We still got hit by some of the penalties, which I don't like to see. Had some really kind of fundamental errors. But, all in all, I thought we played hard. We held together and won a game that we needed to make plays in the fourth quarter to win. So that was positive."

Good news for Indy - Houston is 0-7 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.  Bad news for the Colts - Indianapolis is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS win.
