Discord Partners With eSports Teams to Launch Verified Servers: Today's Betting

Discord, the voice and text chat app for gamers, is today announcing a new partnership with a number of eSports teams for the launch of Discord Verified Servers.


NOW ACCEPTING OVER 60 CRYPTOCURRENCIES

Verified servers ensure that users know they’re communicating with an official source, similar to verified accounts on other social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

CTO Stan Vishnevskiy saw the hole in the market.

“I played MMORPG [Massively multiplayer online role-playing games] 15 hours per day,” he told TechCrunch, and was dissatisfied with TeamSpeak and Mumble. Those required IP addresses that could be attacked by trolls, rented servers and clumsy apps. “Can we make a 10X project? Low-friction usage, no renting servers, beautiful design we took from mobile.”
