With New England Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady, out for the season, it's safe to say that the AFC East has opened up quite a bit. New England had been a huge -900 favorite to win the division. Not any more. And the Buffalo Bills played perhaps the best football during Week 1, dismantling the Seattle Seahawks. The Buffalo Bills odds to win the AFC East has now been set at just over 2/1 odds (+220) for a payout potential of $220 for every $100 bet. Their early odds of winning the AFC East were set at +600 for a $600 win with every $100 bet. These odds were courtesy of BetOnline.com.

Still, New England is favored despite the Brady loss. These are probably the best payout odds we have ever seen for the Patriots in quite a few seasons in fact. Presently, they would pay just over 2/1 odds.

The New York Jets played well during Week One also. They were listed as just a slightly bigger favorite than the Bills at +215. Both teams pay over $200 for every $100 bet.

If you really want to get daring, go with the Miami Dolphins at +2400 for that $2400 payout on every $100 bet. This Dolphins team does look like it can compete at least and will surely have a better record than the 1-15 group we watched last year.

As for the Buffalo Bills, this team looked extremely impressive with that Seattle win. They were listed as a +4 ½ underdog on the road in Jacksonville. That line has come down from Jacksonville -6 with bookies trying to get the action on the Jags. Nearly 90 percent of the early action was on the Bills. Gambling911.com feels that this line should have been Jacksonville -6. We now suspect that the Jaguars will win by 6 points or greater. While this one officially opened at -6, most of the books have offered a line of -5 ½ or lower.

Canadian gamblers can try their luck at Sports Interaction - the only book we could find that had this one at Jaguars -4. Some of you might want to try your luck at a middling opportunity (bet different sides at different online sports books). If you had Buffalo +6 early enough, you can bet the Jaguars at -4 or even -4 ½ at Sports Interaction or BetOnline and hope Jacksonville wins by 5 points so you can win both your bets. The chances of this happening are actually better than they might be typically.
