Now that the Buffalo Bills are starting to lose their strangle hold on the AFC East, their odds to win that competitive division have just gotten longer - 2 to 1 is the payout or a $100 bet would yield $200 at Sportsbook.com

The 5-3 Bills team has a chance to gain some ground playing a New England Patriots team that is playing "less than Patriots like" this season.  Considering the Miami Dolphins destroyed the Patriots in New England a few weeks back, there is reason to be optimistic.

Okay, maybe not.

The Dolphins are 1-9 in their series against the Patriots, 7 of those games were won by double digits.

We look ahead, however, and there is every reason in the world to believe the Bills can win this division.

Remaining games on the schedule include home matchups against Cleveland, San Francisco, and the Miami Dolphins (when it could be below freezing in early December).   Buffalo also plays in Kansas City and could be facing a down and out Broncos team on the road depending on how the next few weeks shape up.  They'll play the Jets on the road and host New England the final week.

Buffalo gained only 30 yards on 17 attempts against a New York defense that entered the game ranked fourth against the run, thanks in large part to behemoth nose tackle Kris Jenkins.

The Bills' longest run was a 7-yarder by Fred Jackson, who had 15 yards on seven carries. Lynch had a career-low 16 yards on nine attempts.

"We have to run the ball more effectively," coach Dick Jauron said in one of his classic understatements.
