The Baltimore Ravens won the Super Bowl in 2000. That seems like over a century ago. The Ravens haven't been a terrible team since that time but they have hardly lived up to expectations either. This year, maybe because they are in such a tough AFC North division, the Ravens odds of winning anything in 2008 are very long. SBG Global has the Ravens with +850 odds to win the AFC North (paying $850 for every $100 bet). They have them as a +4700 long shot to win the 2009 Super Bowl (paying $4700 for every $100 bet).

The odds makers believe the Ravens can win only 6 games in 2008. They have placed a relatively even line on this to happen.

James Alder of About.com:

With the Ravens offense not likely to be much better than they were last seasonand key players on the defense continuing to get older, this year of transition could be rocky in Baltimore. There will be times when the team shows signs of potential, but there will also be stretches in which they are likely to struggle because of the changes in personnel.

If things go right for this club, like they get solid play from their offensive line and quarterback, they could make some noise in the AFC North. Most likely, however, they are a year or two away from truly contending again and their record this year will most likely show it.

We here at Gambling911.com will go out on a limb and say that the Baltimore Ravens have little value heading into this season as far as future betting goes.

How's that? And don't hate on us Anita Marks lol
