Carrie Stroup reporting for Gambling911.com with your 2008 Week 8 NFL betting action report. Which teams, which games are getting the most action? Let's take a lookie...

1. Buffalo Bills - Easily the most bet on game heading into Sunday afternoon. 81 percent of the action is on the Bills at Sportsbook.com. Bookmakers across the net want Miami to just win here as this one is a pick.

2. Carolina Panthers - The second most bet on team of the weekend. The public was all over the Panthers winning by 4 ½ points. Nearly 85 percent of the action was going Carolina's way so this was an extremely lopsided event with bookies needing a cover from Arizona.

Here were some heavily bet on teams that will have some effect on the bottom line of bookies, though the amount of action varies from book to book.

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Across the board, this team was getting plenty of action but so was the game itself with Dallas also among the top bet on teams. A Dallas win will give the bookies a slight edge though with the action around 60/40 Tampa. This was one of the most bet on games of the weekend.

4. Washington Redskins - Everywhere we look, the Redskins were around the 4th or 5th most bet on team this weekend. 81 percent of the action was going Washington's way. Bookies will want Detroit to cover the 7 ½ points.

5. San Diego Chargers - Most books did have the Chargers among the top 5 most bet on teams. They were a -3 favorite in New Orleans getting just over 75 percent of the action. Bookies will be rooting for the Saints in this one.

6. Dallas Cowboys - Like we said, this game is getting nearly even action but the bookies will actually want Dallas here since the public likes Tampa more. Tampa is also getting around 85 percent of the money line action. Despite this, Dallas has more bets than most teams.

7. Baltimore Ravens - This is a very lopsided game with more than 85 percent of the action going Baltimore's way. There may not be as much action on the game itself compared to say Tampa Bay vs. Dallas, but there is enough that bookies will really be looking for an Oakland cover of +7 ½ here.

8. New England Patriots - Again, not the most bet on game of the week but bookies will want St. Louis to cover the +8 since just over 75 percent of the public is betting on the Patriots.

The New York Giants vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game is getting plenty of action and will get even more this afternoon as the game starts after 4 pm EST. This game won't make or break the books as action is nearly dead even on both sides.
