Everyone is so excited about the 2008 WSOPE main event in London, England. It's the second year this event has taken place.

Last year's winner, Annette Obrestad, was the youngest player to ever win a World Series of Poker event. She took home the US$2.01 million just days before her 19th birthday.

Those leading the way Saturday could only dream of becoming the next Annette Obrestad.

Mike "The Mouth" Matusow was among them. You might recall Matusow has been profiled on the pages of Gambling911.com for serving a jail term after trying to sell drugs to an undercover police office a few years back. He has played in many tournaments around the world and his winnings (as of 2008) total over $6,800,000.

Andy Bloch was also among the chip leaders. He holds two electrical engineering degrees from MIT and a JD from Harvard Law School. As of 2008, his total live tournament winnings exceed $3,900,000. Gambling911.com will be rooting for Bloch, who is extremely charitable. He donates 100 percent of his winnings on Full Tilt Poker to various charities around the world.

Day 2 started Sunday with both Daniel Negreanu and actress Jennifer Tilly among the top 20 chip leaders by evening. Negreanu had moved into the second place position at that time.

The top ten chip counts for Day 1a play:

Justin Smith - 158,925

Eric Sagstrom - 98,750

Andy Bloch - 97,100

Scott Montgomery - 81,650

Ivan Demidov - 73,625

Brandon Adams - 72,475

Mike Matusow - 71,550

Scott Fischman - 70,650

Dustin Dirksen - 70,100

Goran Gratte - 67,725
