While Hillary Clinton says she has no aspirations to run for President of the United States, hers is the first ad running for the 2012 Presidential campaign. Go figure.
Sportsbook.com had Clinton’s odds of being named the Democratic nominee at 6/1 or +600 (Obama was at -700, and by far the runaway favorite).
It’s plausible to suggest she could run should President Obama’s approval rating continue to dip beyond the mid-term elections (and assuming there is a blood bath for the Democrats come November). Obama himself has suggested he may not seek a second term.
"She has more experience working in and with the White House than most living presidents. She is one of the most admired women in our nation's history. Let's make sure the president we should have elected in 2008 will be on the ballot in 2012. Hillary 2012: Hillary Clinton for President. Start now. Where there's a Hill there's a way," says an ad that began running on television in New Orleans Wednesday.
A Chicago dentist named William DeJean paid for the ad.
DeJean told CNN he thinks voters are having “buyer’s remorse” about electing President Obama to office.
To date, Obama has the best odds, not only of being nominated, but to win a second term as President of the United States.
