The big Monday Night Football showdown between the New York Jets and San Diego Chargers features a line of San Diego Chargers -8 at Bookmaker.com and New York Jets +9 at betED.com. The action was pretty even at -8.

Gambling911.com believes the line should be set at San Diego -9 so the actual number is pretty accurate.

San Diego is 7-1 ATS in their last 8 home games. However, they are 0-2 ATS and straight up so far this season.

Jets are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games. The last 4 games verses San Diego since 2002 have been won by the Jets ATS.

Jets are 1-5 ATS vs. a team with a losing record, which oddly enough is the San Diego Chargers.

Chargers are 19-7-3 ATS in their last 29 games following a straight up loss and they are 35-16-4 ATS in their last 55 vs. AFC. These are important numbers when considering how desperate San Diego is for a win here.

All of this information, not withstanding the line appears set correctly, suggests that the San Diego Chargers have a better chance of covering in this one. Coming off a 0-2 start at home after having a game literally stolen from them in Denver last week, that 7-1 ATS in their last 8 home games is most impressive followed by the 35-16-4 ATS in their last 55 vs. AFC is telling under this scenario.
