UCLA upsetting mighty UConn in the 2nd round of the 2026 NCAA Men's College Basketball Tournament pays $168 for every $100 bet on the moneyline. The spread was Huskies -4.5 for this game.
No. 7 UConn faces UCLA in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
The Huskies have gone 19-4 against Big East opponents, with an 11-1 record in non-conference play. UConn averages 77.6 points and has outscored opponents by 12.3 points per game.
Tarris Reed Jr. put up monster numbers — 31 points and 27 rebounds, the kind of sensational stat line not seen in the NCAA Tournament in nearly 60 years — that saved UConn from the upset of this March.
UConn needed every ounce of production it got from Reed, along with 22 points from Alex Karaban for the second-seeded Huskies to move on with an 82-71 victory over Furman.
“That was the game, this guy," UConn coach Dan Hurley said, motioning toward Reed. “That’s as dominant a performance as you’ve probably seen from a big guy in tournament history. That’s what he’s capable of. This guy’s a total monster and today he was a real grizzly bear.”
Reed Jr. is scoring 14.3 points per game and averaging 8.7 rebounds for the Huskies and comes into this game with an over/under 15.5 scoring total.
UConn scores 77.6 points, 6.6 more per game than the 71.0 UCLA gives up. UCLA scores 12.4 more points per game (77.7) than UConn gives up (65.3).
Solomon Ball is averaging 2.0 made 3-pointers over the last 10 games for the Huskies.
The Bruins are 15-8 in Big Ten play. UCLA ranks second in the Big Ten shooting 37.9% from 3-point range.
Eric Dailey Jr. is averaging 11.6 points and 5.8 rebounds for the Bruins.
Dailey Jr. scored 20 points, Xaiver Booker had 15 points and eight rebounds to make up for the absence of leading scorer Tyler Biloudeau and seventh-seeded UCLA withstood every serious challenge to beat 10th-seeded UCF 75-71 on Friday night.
Bilodeau is averaging 13.5 points over the last 10 games.
