NBA All-Star Weekend used to be incredible.
Players actually cared. Magic and Isiah were so competitive in this game and the passes were so much fun.
Michael Jordan, Dr. J and Dominique Wilkins were in the dunk contest…multiple times! Larry Bird was in the three-point contest.
Today, the game is nothing but 45-footers and “ole” defense leading to wide open dunks.
The NBA has tried multiple formats to make this game relevant and watchable again. The league has consistently failed.
In 2025, the NHL went to the 4 Nations Face-Off and it was amazing. Let’s hope the NBA’s similar newest format works. The odds appear below.
