$12 hotel rooms at Excalibur?

Las Vegas is finally getting back to offering value.  Granted, this might be pushing things just a bit.

The Excalibur Hotel for just $12 a night?

Jen G posted on X:

"This is the lowest price I’ve seen at a major Las Vegas resort in a long time. This room was under $15 at Excalibur Hotel on a Sunday night in January of 2026. I booked direct through MGM. This is definitely a budget resort and not everyone’s cup of tea. Would you stay here?"

This is far from some sleazy budget hotel either.

The Excalibur Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas is owned by Vici Properties, a large real-estate investment trust (REIT). The property itself is leased and operated by MGM Resorts International, which manages the hotel and casino operations.

Seriously, no different than a Holiday Inn, which typically charges more than $100 a night no matter the location.

Redditors agree.

"A friend and I just went to Vegas for the first time and didn’t feel like spending money on an expensive hotel. We were reading a lot of bad reviews but ultimately decided on the Excalibur as it seems like it was just dated, but not dirty. Sure it is a little dated and the bathroom is a bit crusty but overall no complaints. The bed was comfy and everything felt clean. I was also very pleased with the hotel gym. I would return! Writing this for anyone who may be in my position and unsure what to book. We were also thinking the Linq as it is better location and more modern, but too many reviews mentioned bugs so we decided against."

Just don't have a vehicle as Vegas got really greedy in recent years with their parking.  Go to any casino nationwide and the parking tends to still be free.  Excalibur is $20 to $25 a night self-parking and $40 for valet.
