Police, including SWAT Team K-9, and bomb-squad units, arrested three persons at the All Stars Tampa Domino Club, 4311 W. Waters Ave. Each of the three are charged with two felony counts of bookmaking and racketeering as well as a misdemeanor charge of acting as an agent or employee of a gambling operation.
Those arrested were identified as Marcelino Perez, 67, Charlie Parilla, 32, and Kendrick Franklin, 29.
During the raid, officers seized computers, alleged gambling receipts, more than $12,000 and a semi-automatic pistol.
The police department said that throughout 2024, they would arrive undercover, placing “a multitude of bets” at their “everyday operation.”
“I always figured that that day that was going on there. One of my coworkers actually used to, like, hang out over there, and he said he stopped going because like there would be multiple altercations where like, you know, people are betting thousands of dollars on something and it doesn’t go right", an employee at a neighboring business said.
