Bet on Who Will Become the Winnipeg Jets Next Head Coach 2022

Barry Trotz is one of the more clear cut favorites for any of the seven NHL teams in search of a head coach during the 2022 offseason.

Jets Next Coach

Trotz is listed at EVEN odds with the next shortest price at +450.

Barry Trotz                  +100

Scott Arniel                 +450

Pete DeBoer                +500

Pascal Vincent             +600

Bruce Cassidy              +700

Randy Carlyle              +700

Claude Julien               +1200

Mike Babcock             +1200

Rick Bowness was not listed among the odds.  It was being reported on July 1 that Bowness would assume the role of head coach of the Jets, though that team had yet to make the deal official as of Saturday July 2.  The agreement was expected over the weekend.

Trotz is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach who most recently was head coach of the New York Islanders.  They unceremoniously fired him after missing the playoffs.

But Trotz is widely seen as one of the best candidates on the market during the offseason.

Trotz, 59, was hired by the Islanders in 2018. He had one year left on his deal at $4 million for next season.  The Islanders finished 37-35-10.
