Epic Games Releases Qualification Process for Fortnite World Cup 2019

Players will utilize the new Arena Mode queue to earn enough points to enter one of the ten qualifier events beginning on April 13 for this year’s Epic Games’ Fortnite $30 million World Cup.  Betting will be available on this event here


This is slated to be Fortnite's biggest eSports event ever.  The qualifying process starts with Arena Mode, a new queue that goes live with patch v8.20 and is open to any Fortnite player.

The process begins with the Arena mode queue debuting with Fortnite Patch 8.20 March 27.

The World Cup qualifiers start on April 13 and will continue for 10 weekends with the first week focusing on Solo competition and the second week will be Duos.

Players will be allowed up to three hours to participate in ten matches and earn as many points as they can.  Here are the points totals:

Solo Points

    Victory Royale: 10 Points
    2nd - 5th: 7 Points
    6th - 15th: 5 Points
    16th - 25th: 3 Points
    Each Elimination: 1 Point

Duo Points

    Victory Royale: 10 Points
    2nd - 3rd: 7 Points
    4th - 7th: 5 Points
    8th - 12th: 3 Points
    Each Elimination: 1 Point

The top finishers will receive a portion of the $1 million prize pool and a few select players will earn a qualification spot for the World Cup in New York City on July 26-28.
