Online Bookie Tips: The 2018 Events That Will Generate Business

We’re just about to 2018. Online bookie agents should prepare for 2018 by studying the below list of events.

Not only will the Winter Olympics take place this coming year, but so will the FIFA World Cup. Those two events alone require attention.

The best way to ensure per head profit? Preparation. Prepare from the outset. Once the money flows in, agents can rest assured that they’ve got the right money management processes in place.

How Should Pay Per Head Agents Manage 2018 Sports Betting?

Set max betting limits on all futures - A future is a bet on something like who will win the 2018 Super Bowl, or the FIFA World Cup.

Make sure both player betting limits as well as total event betting limits are in place.

For all horse racing events, set total race exposure – Total race exposure could be something like holding max exposure from each player on a single race to $1,000. Another good way to set total race exposure is to limit the amount allowed to wager on all straight bets: win, place, and show.

Set schedule override limits when applicable – Example:  the New England Patriots are currently at +240 to win Super Bowl LII. If the Patriots do garner home field advantage throughout the playoffs, their odds should drop to around +200.

Agents shouldn’t hesitate to set an override limit if they believe players might pound the Patriots in their books.

Setting override limits is not only a great action management tool. It’s also a great tool to encourage wagers on other choices, or even other events.

Agents mustn’t forget that they run specific bookmaking businesses. It does an online bookie agent no good if he or she doesn’t create max betting limits, total race exposures, etc. based on someone else’s business.

Agents should never to run his or her business the way he or she wants.
