The New Orleans Saints latest odds and betting trends can be found below.  Heading into Week 16, the Saints have not been particularly profitable for bettors as they owned a 4-9-1 recording Against The Spread.

The Saints have dug a hole for themselves following last week's loss.  They now need to win their final two games and hope the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lose their final two.  Easier said than done.

They were listed as the +2.5 underdog against a Bucs team they've lost to in the last three meetings.  Tampa has won four straight games, including against Jacksonville last week.

The Saints lose another game on the road.  As noted below, New Orleans had only beaten two teams away this season, both of which were dreadful.  We're talking the 3-win Pats and 2-win Panthers.

New Orleans’ aggressiveness though turned into one of its biggest shortcomings in its 30-22 loss in LA to the Rams Thursday night.

The Saints turned it over on downs three times, which the Rams converted into 13 points. Derek Carr’s only interception of the night also resulted in Los Angeles scoring a touchdown on its ensuing possession.

“We came into this game wanting to be aggressive. Knowing the type of team and the offense that we were playing, kicking field goals wasn’t going to be the way to go and try to win this game,” New Orleans coach Dennis Allen said.

Barring any injuries or sudden explosive play by the Bucs this weekend, New Orleans should come into Tampa Bay as the +3 to +3.5 dog.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.  Despite their 7-7 record coming into Week 16, the New Orleans Saints were very much in the thick of things in the NFC South.  They led the pack along with the Tampa Bay Bucs.

New Orleans was rated No. 18 on Sagarin and will be coming off of two dominant wins.  Tampa was sitting at No. 14.

Saints quarterback Derek Carr was coming into the game against the Rams with a total passing yards Over/Under of 240.5.

Carr completed 23-of-28 passes for 218 yards and three touchdowns in the Saints’ 24-6, Week 15 win over the Giants.

Prior to that he completed 18-of-26 attempts for 126 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in the Saints’ Week 14 win against the Panthers.

RB Alvin Kamara had 110 yards from scrimmage last week (66 rushing and 44 receiving).. He has eclipsed 1,000 scrimmage yards in all of his seven NFL seasons. He also has five TDs rushing and one receiving this season.  He pays EVEN odds to score one touchdown in this game and $500 for every $100 bet to score 2 or more.

The line on the Saints-Rams game was set at +4 Saints.  We were seeing the spread anywhere from +3.5 to +4.5 throughout the week and our number on this game is on the money at 4.52.

New Orleans beat the Rams by a touchdown last season.

The Saints have three road wins this season, however, two of those were against teams with just three or fewer total victories this season (The Panthers 2-12 and the Patriots 3-11).
