Resorts World in Pasay City, Manila Philippines, is under lockdown following gunfire in the sprawling complex, which is home to shopping outlets and casinos.

Explosions were also heard, according to initial reports.  The incident occurred near midnight Thursday.

There were also reports that people were injured after jumping from the resort’s second floor.  Men with masks were said to have entered the establishment, firing their weapons.  Police and a swat team were on the scene.

Resorts World Manila is just opposite the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3, one of the busiest airport terminal in the country.

Tourists flock to the RWM for its casino, shopping mall, cinema and theater, CNN notes in its reporting.   The casino and some other parts of the facility  are open 24 hours.

The Philippines have been the subject of terrorist attacks in recent years.
