May is No Time for Bookies to go on Vacation

Over the years it’s been one of the most discouraging things to hear from sportsbook operators that May is all about a little bit of basketball but essentially a break period ahead of the NFL and College Football.  Scroll Down...

Uhhh no…

Here at Gambling911.com we have referred to this month as the “Monster Betting Months”.

The Kentucky Derby alone this past weekend may very well have been the most wagered on single day betting event of the year, even bigger than this year’s Super Bowl.  The Triple Crown continues with the Preakness Stakes typically the second most wagered on horse race in North America.

Ahhhh and then we have the Players Championship, the NBA and NHL Playoffs, a little bit of Major League Baseball.

“Take your vacations in June,” advises Payton O’Brien of Gambling911.com, warning bookies and agents that their players won’t tolerate such a lax outlook.

“The modern day bookie will be utilizing a Pay Per Head with an online racebook and profits should be going through the roof this time of year,” O’Brien added.  “The Pay Per Head businesses we deal with are not asleep at the wheel during the month of May.”

During Kentucky Derby weekend Gambling911.com gained access to the back ends of two online sportsbooks.

One, which barely promoted the Kentucky Derby, received no more than 30 new customers Saturday.  The other, which promoted the big race heavily through email blasts, advertising and offered extensive wagering options, received well over 1000 new customer signups that day.

“And now we have the Players Championship and traffic is through the roof for this event too,” O’Brien acknowledged.

Real Bookies is currently offering four weeks FREE, so bookies can enjoy the month of May at no cost.
