Police are still searching for two suspects accused of armed robbery at the Isle of Capri Casino in Boonville, Missouri Wednesday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol released the following statement in regard to the crime:
"On March 25, 2026 shortly after 2 pm an armed robbery occurred at the Isle of Capri Casino in Boonville, MO. Two unknown suspects entered the casino, one was armed with a rifle and the other with a handgun. The suspects stole and unknown amount of money from the casino. The suspects fled the casino in a tan, older model Ford Taurus. The Taurus was later found abandoned. The suspects are believed to have fled in a different unknown vehicle.
"At the request of the Booneville Police Department, the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control, is investigating the robbery. DDCC is being assisted by the Booneville Police Department, the Cooper County Sheriff's Office, and the Federal Bureau of Investigations. Anyone with information related to the investigation is encouraged to call Troop F Headquarters at 573-751-1000.
"The investigation is in its preliminary stages and information is subject to change. More information will be released as it is developed and verified."
One person suffered minor injuries during the incident, according to KFVS12.
Spokesperson for the corporate company Caesar's, Kate Whiteley, said the staff at Isle of Capri Boonville is cooperating with law enforcement and deferred any specific questions about the robbery to MSHP.
"The safety and security of our guests and Team Members is our highest priority, and we are deeply grateful to MSHP and Boonville Police for their swift response and continued support," Whiteley said in an email. "We won’t have further comment at this time."
