Authorities in the river casino city of Tunica, Mississippi, have rounded up eight area prostitutes as part of an undercover sting operation called “Go Get Her”.
Tunica County spokesman Larry Liddell explained the mission.
"Well, we send officers in and they're approached, and we grab them," he said.
The eight women charged reside in Memphis, Tennessee.
"We're just trying to let them know that we're not going to tolerate that kind of behavior in Tunica County," said Liddell.
Investigators would not say which casinos they targeted, but said this was the first operation of its kind in quite some time.
Prostitutes are known to carry sexual transmitted diseases.
