Norway's most popular Internet-based gaming site, NordicBet.com, announced today that it is partnering with UK-based Ivobank to offer secure, online payment services to its Norwegian customers.

Ivobank, an FSA-registered, dedicated gaming bank started by the Genting group, allows clients to make payments into accounts in the UK, and from there order transfers and payments to third-party merchants.

The partnership comes as new regulations in Norway prohibit credit card payments or transfers to non-state gaming sites.

"This is a great solution for our Norwegian customers, who are understandably worried about security and discretion. Our message is that the new laws don't mean an end to online gaming in Norway," said Per Hellberg, CEO of Nordic Gaming Group Ltd., the privately-owned, Malta-registered company that owns the NordicBet brand.

As an added incentive to start using the new Ivobank service, NordicBet is offering its customers a bonus of up to 200 NOK for deposits through Ivobank.

NordicBet was established in 2002 and is targeted at the Norwegian, Danish, Swedish and Finnish markets.
