Tim Tebow Super Bowl 2010 Commercial: More Odds Up

CBS insists it will air the controversial Tim Tebow Super Bowl 2010 commercial that has everyone talking for its "pro-life" stance and Tebow continues to make waves in the Super Bowl betting world, as New Orleans and Indianapolis prepare to battle for the Vince Lombardi trophy on February 7th.

And why wouldn't this Tim Tebow spot make waves?

After all, it has all the ingredients for one of the most popular Super Bowl betting props of 2010, and prop betting makes up most of the revenue generated for online bookmakers during the big game.

Controversy is building over an advertisement that Tebow has recorded with his mother, Pam, that is due to broadcast during the telecast of Super Bowl XLIV. CBS is already under pressure to pull the ad, due to the divisive nature of what Tebow, an evangelical Christian, has to say.

But Tebow has inspired online sportsbooks across the Net to wonder: what will Tim do next on TV? Sports Interaction, the first online sportsbook licensed and regulated in North America, has opened a book on what topics Tebow may discuss next on TV.

"NFL betting is the chief component of what we do," says Frank Doyle, a spokesman for Sports Interaction, "but sports betting has always had its fun aspect. And though Tebow almost certainly doesn't approve of us, we quite like him, as he's good for the game."

Sports Interaction is taking bets on what else Tebow will do on TV after his 2010 Super Bowl slot, ranging from the obvious (lecturing Jay and Conan about loving thy neighbor, +120), to the unlucky (visiting the Osbournes and finding out it's the wrong kind of Sabbath, +400) and the downright unlikely (makes a movie with Sarah Palin about love between Mommies and Daddies, +100000).

"Unless he gets particularly beat up in the Senior Bowl we don't really expect Tim Tebow to mix up his Sabbaths, so that mightn't be a great bet," says Doyle. "You might be better off putting your money on the huge range of betting types we have for the Super Bowl, the biggest sports betting event of the year. As for Tebow, we wish him all the luck in his NFL career, which we shall be following with interest and excitement."
