As crazy as it may seem looking back on this season, both the New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts offered lucrative opportunities coming into Week 1 of regular play.  The Saints odds to win the 2010 Super Bowl were set at 18/1 while the Colts odds to win the 2010 Super Bowl were listed at 10/1 at online sportsbooks like Hollywood Sportsbook.com.

It took a few weeks for both teams to have their odds slashed to around 3/1, which is where they remained during much of the second half of the regular 2009 season.

Hollywood was currently offering a line of Colts -5 ½ but those odds were expected to fluctuate over the coming days leading up to the Super Bowl so Gambling911.com suggests locking the current number in now.

"These two teams remained undefeated throughout much of the regular season so it is difficult to imagine either with such good payout odds," said Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.

"I think the Saints are very fortunate to be in there," said Jay Kornegay, executive director of the race and sports book at the Las Vegas Hilton. "To get five turnovers at home and having to go to overtime to win it, I don't think they were playing that well."
