No Treats for Bookmakers as Chiefs Deliver Final Nail in the Coffin

Bookmakers continued to be spooked this Halloween weekend with Monday Night Football.  The Kansas City Chiefs were a -7 to -7.5 favorite versus the Denver Broncos and won by 10 points with over 60% of the betting action.

Dave Mason of BetOnline.ag called it one of the worst weekends for the books so far this season, while congratulating the sports betting public on a job well done.

Penn State may have lost outright against Ohio State in the final minutes of play Saturday but they still managed to cover and were around the most wagered on side of the season.

Oklahoma State was another heavily bet on side that also pulled through in College Football.

Covers by Minnesota, Dallas and Pittsburgh in the NFL didn’t help matters.
