NFL Ratings Improve Over 2016, Keeping Bookies Happy

Despite stories circulating across the Internet that the National Football League ratings have dropped in light of anger with players kneeling during the singing of the National Anthem, ratings have actually improved over last season thus far.

Notwithstanding Sunday night’s game between the Raiders and Redskins, down over last year’s Week 3 game between the Cowboys and Bears, ratings for the week as a whole were up 3 percent.

Monday Night Football’s game between the Cowboys and Cardinals turned in a 9.3 overnight rating for its best showing.  It was also the highest rated game of the season thus far.

This has bookies catering to North American sports bettors happy as fears over a declining audience sent shivers down their spines.  The NFL season represents their highest profit earnings.

Week 3 of this season represented one of the best Sundays on record for sportsbooks both in Vegas and online as underdogs overwhelmingly covered the spread or won outright.

The Denver Broncos were the most bet on side so far, losing outright in Buffalo.
