It has been a long and grueling season and now we are finally in the home stretch with the Conference Championship Games coming up this Sunday, January 21st, 2018. The New England Patriots will be playing in their 7th†AFC Championship in a row, against the surprising Jacksonville Jaguars.† In the NFC Championship, the number 1 seed Philadelphia Eagles will be hosting the number 2 seed Minnesota Vikings, with both teams having the chance to win their first Super Bowl.
Oddly enough of the 4 remaining teams left, only the New England Patriots have won a Super Bowl, and they have won a total of 5 all during the Brady and Belichick era.† The other 3 teams have never won a Super Bowl, so it will be interesting to see if history will be made for one of these teams, or whether the Dynasty of the Patriots will win yet another Super Bowl Ring.
Various PPH bookie service providers like AcePerHead.com already have the odds for each of these teams to win the Super Bowl, with the Patriots as the obvious favorite at +105.† The second favorite is the Minnesota Vikings who are +200, which could be a sneaky pick, considering that if they do win this weekend against the Eagles, then they will be the first team ever to be hosting a Super Bowl, which would be a huge benefit. After these two teams, the Eagles are +600, followed by the Jaguars at +650 to win the Super Bowl.
In terms of the actual games next week, the Patriots are currently favored by -9.5 over the visiting Jaguars.† If Jacksonvilleís defense can play like they have been playing this whole season, and get pressure on Brady, this could be a very close and exciting game. However if the Jaguars Defense lays an egg on the road in the harsh conditions of Gillett Stadium, then this could be a very long afternoon for them.
In the NFC game, the Vikings are currently a -3.5 road favorite against the Eagles, and this will feature two QBís that most people would have never bet would ever be playing in a Conference Championship game; Nick Foles and Case Keenum.† Both QBís were not the starters at the beginning of the season for their respective teams, however, injuries have thrust them into the starting role, and both players have actually risen to the occasion and played some good football. Regardless of who wins these games, there will be a ton of action bet on each of these games.
