The Minnesota Vikings 2010 Super Bowl odds will be shorter now that they just announced the signing of Brett Favre.   Most online sportsbooks Tuesday had odds taken down on which team would win the Super Bowl after the Favre news went public.  Minnesota Vikings odds were to be updated at SportsInteraction.com by late Tuesday.  The online sportsbooks that were already in the process of revamping their odds had the Vikings at +1700 or 17/1.

Favre, who just three weeks ago said he would not be returning to football, changed his mind yet again Tuesday, agreeing to join the Minnesota Vikings.  The initial NFC North team favorites were long rumored to be in discussions with Favre.

The 39-year-old quarterback took a plane to Minnesota on Tuesday, drove to Vikings training camp and was in a helmet and pads less than 90 minutes after arriving. His practice jersey was the familiar No. 4, the same number he wore for years with the rival Packers.

The team confirmed a deal was done to The Associated Press, but terms were not immediately disclosed.

Most pundits suggest that the Vikings are only a quarterback away from making the Super Bowl and Favre could provide the ammunition needed.

"After all, it was the quarterback situation in Minnesota that needed addressing more than anything else.," says Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.  "Just about every other position is graded either an A or B with the exception of special teams."

The defense in particular is going to be tough.

"I'll be honest, with the addition of Favre, the Vikings 2010 Super Bowl odds are right up there with the San Diego Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles," says Shapiro.  "In fact, the value probably going to be excellent when the odds get upgraded since I think this team could be the best in the NFC right now."

The Minnesota Vikings odds to win the 2010 Super Bowl were expected to be updated by evening August 18 at Sports Interaction.com.   Remember to claim your FREE 15 percent cash bonus when opening an online betting account here.
