Jets – Colts Line Moves to +9

Maybe it has something to do with New York Jets defensive end Shaun Ellis taking part in limited practice after suffering a broken left hand and the likelihood he might play in this weekend's Conference Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts that is causing the Jets/Colts line to fluctuate wildly heading into Friday.

The line had been somewhat steady with even action and no more than a half point move earlier in the week.

Sportsbetting.com was offering Jets fans quite the treat with a line of +9, the only online sportsbook to do so.

Gambling911.com doesn't expect this to last so it might be wise to lock the +9 point line in now.

"Suddenly there was around 60 percent of the action going towards Indianapolis," explained Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.  "With a game this heavily bet on, that is considered a lopsided number and the bookies are obviously trying hard to get action on the Jets."

New York's injury bug wasn't expected to have much of an impact on Sunday's game.

Ellis, one of the Jets' top pass rushers, was injured early in the team's victory at San Diego on Sunday. He missed practice Wednesday, but was on the field in a cast Thursday and is expected to play in the AFC championship game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Safety Kerry Rhodes bumped his knee and was limited during practice, as were linebackers Bart Scott (left ankle) and David Harris (right ankle). All are expected to play.
