Indianapolis Colts and the Over Still Getting Pounded

When it comes to the 2010 Super Bowl, the big early bets were on the Colts to beat a -5 ½ spread and the total score to go over 56.5 points.

That 56.5 points seemed like a pretty lofty goal but then again we are talking about the New Orleans Saints with the most potent offense in the NFL this year.  The Colts can certainly score as well.

Both Playoffs games that the Saints have appeared in scored above the current total and that could explain why nearly 85 percent of the backing was on the OVER here at Sportsbook.com.

And after just 24 hours of a line being posted on the 2010 Super Bowl, the Colts were getting 71 percent of the betting volume on that -5 ½ point spread.  For the Super Bowl, that is a significant lopsided game with bookies wanting the number to be closer to 65/45.

"It would not surprise those of us at Gambling911.com to see the line move up to -6 at some online sportsbooks," said Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.
