He’s got the number 8 song in America on Billboard with “I Like It” though he may not like the idea of having to water ski nude thanks to a lost World Cup bet.  He promises to honor the bet nonetheless.

“I’m going to get drunk and ski naked in Biscayne Bay.” That’s what the hunky singer said when he got to talking about the World Cup and his home team’s chances of winning it during an interview with the BBC.

At the time his home team of Spain had lost its first game against long shots Switzerland.  Ultimately they ended up winning the 2010 FIFA World Cup against the Netherlands this past Sunday.

“A bet is a bet!” Iglesias told “Access Hollywood”, insisting he will go through with the nude water skiing.

Iglesias will likely have more to say Friday, when he’s scheduled to perform live on Rockefeller Plaza as part of TODAY’s Toyota Concert Series.

The son of Spanish singing legend Julio Iglesias, the 35-year-old said it won’t be the first time he’s water-skied in the buff.

“That is what we used to do when we were kids,” he told the BBC.

He didn’t add that back then, few were watching.
