NBA Futures Betting: Most Profitable Bets for Online Bookies

The NBA Playoffs is underway. Online bookie agents no doubt have already seen massive wagers on a few of the teams highlighted in this article. Some teams have looked good so far.

Other teams have looked terrible. Keep reading to find out what per head agents should do with NBA Championship Futures.

Golden State Warriors                        -160

Cleveland Cavaliers               +333

San Antonio Spurs                  +600

Houston Rockets                     +1600

Toronto Raptors                     +3300

Golden State Warriors

The Warriors are up 1 to 0 over the Portland Trailblazers in their best of 7 series. It was touch and go in Game 1. Golden State outscored Portland 33 to 21 in the fourth quarter for the 121 to 109 win.

The reason to highlight Golden State’s win over Portland is because the Warriors remain a huge favorite to take down the rest of the teams in future books.

Agents have a choice. They can maintain max betting limits on Golden State at -160 (max betting limits should already be in place), or they can allow Warrior fans to put more money on Golden State to win.

If agents don’t believe that Golden State can win the NBA Championship, it might be worth it to roll the dice and allow bigger bets on the Warriors at -160.

By doing so, and if the Warriors don’t win the NBA Championship, pay per head agents could double, maybe even triple, their profits on NBA futures betting.

That’s makes the Warriors potentially the biggest profit maker for agents.

Cleveland Cavaliers

The second biggest profit maker could be the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs offer odds much shorter than third choice San Antonio.

That’s crazy considering that Cleveland didn’t even secure the 1-seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs. Should agents roll the dice on the Cavs to not win the NBA Championship at +333?

Maybe. But, the risk is much higher on the Cavaliers than it is on Golden State.

If per head agents allow larger wagers on the Cavs at +333, and the Cavaliers repeat as NBA Champions, the payouts could be tremendous.

The Underdogs?

Each agent has his or her own personal risk threshold. Staying faithful to the risk threshold is the way to go when it comes to NBA futures betting.

One thing is for sure, there should be no circumstances where agents take down max betting limits on Toronto, San Antonio, or Houston.

All three teams have legitimate shots to upset Cleveland in the East and Golden State in the West.
