The Boston Celtics couldn't close out the Orlando Magic on Monday night in the NBA betting Eastern Conference Finals but they get another chance on Wednesday night in Game 5. The Magic got a big game from Dwight Howard in Game 4 and now the series goes back to Orlando as the Magic look to make this a series.
If you look at the NBA odds for this game you have to shake your head just a little bit. Just two nights ago the Celtics were 7-point favorites at home and now they are four-point underdogs on the road. Home court has meant very little for either of these teams this season and it is not worth 11 points. Boston had a lot of chances to win on Monday but they missed shots and ran out of gas in overtime. The question now becomes whether they can close out this series or whether Orlando is going to start playing like a team that won 59 games in the regular season.
The Magic still have gotten nothing out of Vince Carter or Rashard Lewis in this series. They are starting to get something out of Jameer Nelson though. For the first time in the series he outplayed Rajon Rondo. In Game 4, Rondo had his first poor game of the playoffs as he was just 3 for 10 with only 9 points and 8 assists. Nelson had 23 points and 9 assists. He was the complementary player that Dwight Howard needed. If Nelson can continue to play well and if Carter and Lewis can shed their choker labels then perhaps the Magic can make history.
