Coming off rookie Stephen Strasburg's brilliant debut last night for the Washington Nationals, Sportsbook.com has opened numerous season long props on the 21 year old phenom.  Strasburg heads to Cleveland next where he will face the Indians and ticket sales there are surging as a result.

All Strasburg did Tuesday night in his first MLB start was strikeout 14 batters while walking no one as the Nationals defeated the Pirates 5-2. That is the most strikeouts in a major league debut since J.R. Richard struck out 15 back in 1971.

"With all the attention that has surrounded Strasburg before his start, it is absolutely remarkable that his performance actually exceeded the hype - I didn't think that was possible," stated Sportsbook.com Spokesman Dave Staley. "We offered plenty of props featuring Strasburg last night and they all got great action; as a result we just opened up some season long props on him."

Strasburg's appearance in Cleveland on Sunday is boosting ticket sales by 4000 so far.  The team averages among the lowest attendance numbers.  Likewise, the folks at Sportsbook.com anticipate much heavier action on Sunday's MLB game.

With his first win and 14 K's under his belt, there is no better time to handicap how his 2010 numbers will end up; which Sportsbook.com has done:

Stephen Strasburg - Washington Nationals

2010 Regular Season Wins: O/U 9.5 wins

2010 Regular Season Losses: O/U 5.5 losses

2010 Regular Season Strikeouts: O/U 146.5

2010 Regular Season ERA: O/U 2.75

2010 Regular Season Complete Games: O/U 1.5

Will he record a no-hitter in 2010? Yes +550, No -1000

Providing the most ways to bet on MLB in addition to the most generous dime lines in the business, it is no wonder everybody bets on baseball at Sportsbook.com.
