States Where You Can Bet Online With Draftkings

Iowa, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Indiana, New Hampshire, Illinois, West Virginia, Tennessee, Colorado, Virginia and Michigan.

States Where the DraftKings App is Prohibited

Draftkings is prohibited in the following states: Arizona, Alabama, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Louisiana, Montana, Nevada and Washington State.

In recent years, several states have amended their own laws to allow daily contests for money.  Many experts believe Daily Fantasy Sports, as opposed to the season long variety, offers elements of gambling.

Anyone looking to place bets using the DraftKings app outside of NJ will be denied, however, the app can be downloaded for use anywhere for later bets placed while visiting the state of New Jersey.  Others U.S. states could eventually begin offering the app as well.  Unlike the internationally licensed sportsbook sites, Draftkings will require users to submit their social security number and they will report your winnings to the IRS once you reach a certain threshold - This is true of the DFS app as well since, yes, it is gambling.
