We are a little more than 20 percent through the NHL season and now is a good time to look at how the point totals for every team have changed.
Some notes that accompany the chart below:
- The first point totals column is from 10/1/25, which is the last time I sent out point totals.
- The second point totals column is from today.
- 16 team totals went up.
- 14 team totals went down.
- Two teams totals stayed the same, the Panthers and Kings.
- These teams improved their point totals the most:
- Avalanche +12
- Ducks +11
- Blackhawks +10
- Penguins +9
- Kraken +7
- These teams point totals decreased the most:
- Predators -10
- Maple Leafs -10
- Blues -9
- Flames -7
- Canucks -7
- Interestingly, three of the top five biggest underachievers thus far are Canadian teams.
